Let us all wish the man behind the pseudonym Iyov the best in all his endeavours.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a good group of the traditional biblioblogs die out this year as people are continuing to move away from the blogging format on the whole. Hopefully most will just move to posting rarely instead of stopping altogether!
Yes, that’s entirely likely. There’s always a certain attrition occurring, and this may take off. But there are advantages to blogs that Facebook and the social networking sites don’t have. I don’t and won’t do Facebook or the other earlier or later incarnations because I simply find “online community” to be something of an oxymoron. Blogs are very useful tools, and are still developing. But people do get busy, and that, I think, is where the blogs are going to see more of a downturn in posting. I know that’s the case with my own blog here. I have no intentions to close up shop, though.
Anyhow, I’m sure several folks wi’ll miss Iyov’s blog.
