There was once a barren, rocky island, far out in the middle of the ocean. Nothing grew upon it, and its only visitors were the wind, the rain, and the waves. After a time, through the ways of the wind, bits of earth accumulated on the island. And the pounding of the waves on the rocks wore many into sand. Too, through the action of the waves, seeds were carried to the island. They took root and were nourished by the rain. And the wind also brought other seeds to the island. And all the seeds took root, were nourished, and grew, until the island was a paradise, beautiful and amazing to behold.
This island is the Kingdom of God.
