On Prophecy

I think at one point or another in every Christian’s life, we’ve all been fascinated by the biblical prophecies. No matter the tradition one belongs to, there’s an abiding fascination with the words preserved from so long ago about such mysterious and exotic places as Nineveh, Babylon, Egypt, and the bizarrerie of creatures with multiple heads, wings, horns, and so on. The imagery is so strikingly powerful and memorable, so that even still we wonder, what on earth are they talking about?

In the pages presented here, I intend to share my own particular insights regarding the nature of biblical prophecy (no small matter), certain potential interpretations of ancient prophecies within their original contexts, and even interaction with certain trends in modern biblical prophetic interpretation.

As always, I appreciate any comments.
