Is everything sad going to come untrue? *
Yes. Someday.
* A fine question asked by Sam Gamgee, near the end of The Lord of the Rings (page 951 in the 50th Anniversary hardcover edition).

Kevin,
This reminds me of the old parable (told in countless variations) of Solomon searching his kingdom for an object which would make the happy sad and the sad happy. He found it with a ring that had inscribed on its band “This too shall pass.”
-JAK
I cry every time I read that line!
Yeah, that’s a heartbreakingly beautiful line.
